Who's Been Eating My Porridge?

In April we began our study of animals.
We learned about oviparous animals and
then we learned about wild animals.

We read many versions of the story of
"The Three Bears".
We talked about fiction and non-fiction books
during our study of wild animals.
It was great to write non-fiction stories about
our favorite wild animals.
BUT. . .
acting out the story of "The Three Bears"
was the BEST!!
This is how it goes.
Once upon a time in a nursery rhyme,
there were three bears.

A papa, and a mama, and a baby bear.
One day they were a talkin', in the woods they went a walkin'.

When along came a girl with beautiful curls and knocked upon the door.
No one was home so she went right in and had herself a ball.

Got tired and went upstairs and fell asleep.
When. . .
Home, Home, Home came the three bears.
And the papa bear said, "Someone has been eating my porridge"!
And the mama bear said, "Someone has been eating my porridge"!
Hey bop a ree bear, said the little wee bear, "Someone has eaten my ZOUP"!
I got such a kick out of the students this year.
One little guy giggled so much during this part, that
we just couldn't quit laughing.
We almost didn't finish the story!
