The Polar Express

Our Christmas Party was AWESOME this year.

We came in our pajama's and went on a pretend train ride

to the North Pole.  We loved the chocolate milk!

With tickets in hand we chugged our way to Santa's workshop

where we were delighted to see all the toys being loaded into the sleigh.

Who will receive the first gift of Christmas?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and. . .

Vixen.  Comet and Cupid and Donner and. . .

Blitzen.  But, do you recall the most famous reindeer of ALL?

The students loved singing "Rudolph" this year.

They chose it as their favorite Christmas song.

All we had to do was mention the reindeer and everyone

would burst into song!

Readers Are Leaders!

The Basketball players from Canyon View High School

stopped in one day to read stories to the

Kindergarten students.  It was great fun to see

these TALL guys read with enthusiasm.  We could tell

that they loved to read!

Thanksgiving is for giving THANKS!

Kindergarten students at Three Peaks Elementary School participated in the celebration of National American Indian Heritage Month sponsored by the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah, Tuesday, November 10th.   The children gathered at the Paiute Tribal Facility to enjoy singing, dancing, stories and fun.  Each participant caught a glimpse of the Native American cultural aspects and came away with a feeling of awe for the beauty and strength of the songs and dance.  During the activity many of the students tapped their legs in beat to the drums and commented on the spectacular outfits or regalia.  It was great to be invited to dance in the circle with our new friends.  The fun of this day will last for months to come.  We want to thank the Paiute Indian Tribe for this wonderful experience!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

The month of October was awesome.  We learned a lot about

Fall, spiders and monsters, but the best times were

 when we were singing songs.  Both classes loved the "BOO" songs

and would sing them every time a visitor came into the classroom.

I loved the frightened expressions given by all who heard the songs and

the shrieks of delight from little ones who sang the "spooky" lyrics.

I love my dressed-up darlings!
