Pizza Makes Us Smile!

Did you know that pizza is Huggly Monsters favorite food?

We learned new songs about pizza and monsters.
Our favorite is "If You're a Monster and You Know It."
The best part sung by kindergarten kids is the roar!
Made us laugh and laugh during singing time!
Make-believe is great fun.

"There is a treat I like to eat and Pizza is it's name-o. . ."
Your child will break into song if you just say those words.

Monsters Make Us Smile!

This week in Kindergarten we explored the world
of make-believe in the books we read.

Big Green Monster was one of the fun books we read.
We even made our own version of the book and
learned the sight word "the".

We created monsters in the style of Tedd Arnold.
He is the author of many books, including Huggly the monster!
Tedd Arnold uses scribbles to make his monsters look realistic.
We loved using scribbles when making our monsters!

Huggly likes to explore the people world.
Kindergarten Kiddos can really relate, because we
like to explore the people world, too!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Makes Me Smile!

We have learned a lot in the first weeks of school!
Letter and number writing and recognition has
been our focus. Look at all the fun we have had learning
about letters and numbers!

We can build with dominos and learn!

We will work on both of these things
as we journey through our kindergarten year!

A New School Year Makes Me Smile!

The first couple of weeks in school have been fantastic!

We have been learning things about our classroom, our school and each other.
One of our favorite things to do is sing, dance and play music.
We are a fun bunch of "moovers and groovers"!

Math time is lots of fun. We are learning how all of our manipulatives
work together to create designs and patterns.

Going to the SUU farm is simply the best field trip of the year! We plan, create, learn, build and play "FARM" for weeks leading up to this awesome activity!The big day arrives and the lambs are very hungry.
Who will help feed the lambs?
WE WILL!

The tractor was BIG!
The farmer has to do lots of hard work.

Seeing the bulls and cows up close and personal was. . .
smelly!

Everyone was given the chance to "milk" the kindergarten cow.
Some of the students said they could hear her mooing.
