Welcome to Our Classroom Blog!

Our blog is like a journal, a never ending story and record of the exciting adventures we experience in kindergarten. We are an enthusiastic group of kiddos who care about each other and the world. Check back often to see what we have been doing!

Hooray For Party Day!

Our Christmas party consisted of a pretend ride to
the North Pole aboard the "Polar Express".
We wore our p.j.'s and were surprised to find bells
on the seat of our "train".
Did someone say, "chocolate milk"?  YEA!
Hugs good-bye for a good friend!
Got my ticket and I'm ready to go!

"And what would you like for Christmas"?

Lots of fun on this last day of school before the break.
Famous last words by Mrs. Topham -
Merry Christmas to All
and to All a Good Night!
Whew!  I think I'm tired!

December - A Month to Remember!

We worked hard this month learning more about patterning.
Can you tell that this is an ABC pattern?
The kinders can!  We can identify AB, ABB, ABC and
even ABCD patterns.  What smarties!
We sang lots of songs this month, but our favorite has to be. . .
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer!
We compared and contrasted the many versions of the
story of the "Gingerbread Man".
I really have to "run as fast as I can" to keep up with
this bunch of great kids!

We had a great time with some of the older students
at Three Peaks!
Mrs. Mackleprang's Class presented a play
that was written by one of the cuties in her class.
We loved it!

We made reindeer food to sprinkle on the lawn Christmas Eve.

Fun Helpers from Mr. Hunt's class gave us quite a treat.
They showed up with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
All of the students who wanted to, sat on Santa's lap and
gave simple requests of gifts wanted for Christmas.
(Thanks, you will always be my special kiddos!)

We Are Thankful for Good Music!

Our field trip to Cedar Music Store was amazing!
We learned about many different kinds of instruments.

Look who's playing the drums!

My favorite - the guitar!

We Are Thankful for Good Food!

We have been learning about good food in our class so
it was great to go to the local Smith's Grocery Store for
a tour.  We were escorted to the back room where
apples are washed before being placed on the shelf.
YUMMY!
We were put to work checking out items and even
learned how to use the scanner.
Out tour guide Bethany helped us enjoy every part
of our tour.  We think you are awesome!

Produce and more produce.  The variety was
unbelievable.  So many vegetables and
so little time to taste them!
Oh boy is it cold in here or what?
