Kindergarten Is Fun!

Kindergarten is off to a great start! The students are full of fun and excitement for all of the new learning experiences at school. We are learning to work at the tables and play outside on our playground. The most fun thing is making new friends. Ask any kindergartner the name of a new friend and get ready for a long list of names!
Playing house is fun!
Reading books with a friend is GREAT!

FRIENDS-FRIENDS-FRIENDS

Some friends are big,
Some friends are small,
But, friends at school,
Are BEST OF ALL!
We are making lots of new friends at school.

Thanks for a great year!

Mom and Dad,
I return them back into your loving arms,
I will miss them dearly so. . .
Hug 'em and scrub 'em
and feed 'em good stuff!

Hear 'em and cheer 'em
and don't be too rough.
Squeeze 'em and tease 'em
and share work and play.

And whisper "I love you" in
each ear each day!

Have a wonderful summer!

WE LOVE WHALES!

Our study of the ocean included learning about

the largest animal on the earth. . .the whale!

Here we are with a life size humpback whale.
It is made of plastic and uses a box
fan to inflate it. We went inside
to see how big a whale really is!

We are becoming marine biologists.

Smile if you love learning about whales!
Quote from the class, "This is the best day ever!"
Mrs. Topham thinks the same thing, too!
"Whales are simply amazing!"

Outside Play Time!

Look at me, I can swing all by myself!

The kindergarten playground is G-R-E-A-T!

Look at me, Mrs. Topham!

Sunshine makes me happy.
We were so happy that the end of the year brought a few
sunny days so we could play outside!

Pigs! Pigs! Pigs!

As part of our Farm Unit we read lots of stories
about pigs. It was amazing to read all the
different versions
of "The Three Little Pigs".

And it was even more amazing to act out the story.
Here we are in our character hats.
Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

Playing in the mud is what little
piggies do best!

Chocolate pudding makes
delicious mud.

I grunt and I snort and I dig about.
I look for roots with my pink piggy snout.
When it's hot I roll in mud or a pool.
It's the only way I can keep my cool!

Did You Know?

The animals that live on the farm
help us in many ways.

Some give us wool for clothes.

Some give us meat or eggs.
Some give us milk to drink.

Do you know who does what?
We do! We love to learn
about farm animals.
